Did Anyone Wish Captain Kirk Hinrich Happy Birthday, Yesterday?

He is the son of a Coach. Was Mr. Basketball in high school in Iowa. Captain Kirk led the Jayhawks to the NCAA title game, only to come up a little short versus Carmelo and Syracuse. After playing all four years at Kansas (very rare), he was drafted by the 7th overall by the Chicago Bulls, giving them a reliable but under appreciated point guard for seven years. When Derrick Rose was injured, the Bulls got Kirk back. The Bulls have had bad luck drafting point guards in first round, remember Jay Williams.

Just an all around heck of a player. He never did anything at an all-star level but this guy could do everything you asked of him. Guarded the PG, SG and SF positions when necessary and also could stroke from the 3, pass the ball and start at PG and also grab rebounds and play defense.

Happy Birthday Kirk. Ya deserve it!

This guy is the quintessential cog everyone needs on their squad. A back up point guard who is starting caliber and can also run the 2 very effectively. If a championship team needs a golden bench piece it is him. Granted he's had a lot of bad injury issues lately, I would go to battle with this guy any day. And my Clips can definitely use him!
