Scott Brooks and Frank Vogel will be coaching the All Star teams, but are either one of them the NBA's Coach of the Year? They both have a lot of talent at their disposal and while managing that is definitely a skill, it does make the job a little easier. Who do you think deserves the award?

I'm sorry but Jeff Hornacek is the leader and it isn't even close.

Look at that roster! Besides Bledsoe those guys are all role players and Hornacek's system has elevated them to perennial stars. The Morris Twins are in double figures, Frye is coming back and knocking down 3's, Goran Dragic and Gerald Green are both Most improved players candidates in my opinion.

@Aditya Trivedi, half a season is a little soon to be calling anyone on the Suns a "perennial" star - certainly not the word you were looking for. Hornacek is up there, but it's no runaway. Terry Stotts has two stars in Portland, but undrafted Wesley Matthews is putting up almost 17 a game and the rest of that squad is overachieving. He's getting the best out of Lillard and Aldridge. Managing those two stars is no small task.

Dwane Casey is Toronto is also having a great season. The Raptors have wins against the league's best (namely, Indiana and OKC), haven't been blown out all season (they play good teams close), and they don't have a single star. I know it's the lowly East, but 26-23 with that roster is extremely impressive.

Obviously I also agree that Hornacek is leading and what he has done with that roster is terrific. Looks like he is going to have a very good career as a head coach - clearly as smart off the court as he was while on it. @Dan Moberger you raise a really good candidate and one I have really overlooked. The Raptors have been really good and Casey is a huge reason - he definitely deserves consideration, thanks for the feedback!

Casey and Hornacek are great options, I'm very curious to see how both teams do as the season finishes out.
